Runway Trend: The Embellished Shoe

Now that NY Fashion Week, Paris and Milan runways are over, some of the top shoe trends have emerged. The most luxurious look has been the popularity of embellishment and embroidered styles on the runway. A bit of flash can go a long way. Think sequins, beads, a jewel here or there to make your footwear sparkle. A great statement shoe is a great way to upgrade the most simple of outfits. As you can see from our runway examples, you can embellishments on the heel, across a sporty flat or anywhere that needs a little bling.

Shoes above came from the spring 2016 runways of  Fendi, Tanya Taylor, Alexander McQueen, Giorgio Armani

MACHI at NYFW: Secret Society of Ex-Mermaids

society of ex mermaids

The lovely models representing The Secret Society of Ex-Mermaids made a transition to two-legged chic wearing Machi Footwear’s latest fall boots. The savvy streetwear brand mixed whimsical feminine details like shimmery fabrics and ruffles with edgy t-shirt dresses and graphics. The designer Francki Harrell wanted to create a fashion collection with a magical attitude. Harrell paid her dues working at Michael Kors after studying fashion at Parsons School of Design and Central Saint Martins.

For her New York Fashion Week show, she paired a few of Machi Footwear’s top fall styles with her fierce mermaids. The tall two-toned Muchi Boots were great with mini tee dresses. The multi-buckled Bera Boots gave an urban chic balance to super-girly frocks. If the boots were too tall, you could also use wear the Muchi flat shoes for that important black and white trend of the fall season. Grab your footwear before they’re all sold out!
